Today in Needham: Celebrations and Cheerful Fundraisers, and More!

Five things you need to know for Needham and Dover-Sherborn on Oct. 7, 2013.


1. Tuesday is looking to be sunny and mostly clear overnight, says the National Weather Service. High of 68ºF, low of 43ºF predicted. 

2. Sherborn's adult-only flu clinic is scheduled in the Town Hall, room 204A, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Call the Board of Health office at 508-651-7852 ahead of time to reserve a dose. Bring your insurance cards to the clinic with you on the day. 

3. The Friends of the Sherborn Library are presenting another installment of their guest reader series with "Who are the People in your Neighborhood" on Tuesday, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

4. Support the Needham Junior Cheerleaders in a cool way--and one that is pretty tasty to boot. Head into Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt today, anytime after 5 p.m., mention the Needham Jr. Cheer group, and they will get 15 percent of the proceeds from your purchase. 

5. The Circle of Hope, a Needham-based organization, is celebrating a birthday today! They are having a "party" all over town, at The “party” is at places like Lisa’s, Lola Tortola, Joel’s Gifts and Confections, Not Your Average Joe’s, Closet Exchange, Taylor’s Stationery, Swizzles Yogurt, Black Sheep Knitting, Babel’s Paint & Decorating, and Perennial Designs.
