The Week Ahead: Short Dates, Slick Gifts and More

Five things happening this week in Needham, Sherborn and Dover.


1. Columbus Day is predicted to be sunny with a high of 69ºF, according to the National Weather Service. That said, there may be some overnight patches of fog later in the evening, when temperatures dip to 48ºF during an evening otherwise of increasing clouds.
 
2. VinoDivino, the last of the five retail liquor stores recently opened in Needham, is holding its Grand Opening, with the Carewell Urgent Facility that shares their space. Starting at 4 p.m., Thursday, come by for a snack, get the tour, and check out Needham's newest neighbors.

4. The Charles River School is hosting a craft fair, at their Dover location, this weekend. Between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., come in and pick up your pick of jewelry, art, pottery, photography, woodcrafts, clothing, soaps, doll clothes, pet products, gourmet foods and much more from over 60 artists and craftspeople. 5. Needham is getting pretty diverse this weekend. Needham's Diversity Summit, at the Pollard Middle School, starts at 8:30 a.m. and features a number of Needham residents and local celebrities will come to talk about their experiences with diversity in town.
