2. Needham High School Sports Schedule

  • 7 p.m. Needham varsity football will host Duxbury in the first round of the Division 2 South playoffs.

  • 3. Dance and Sports Night

    There will be a 7th and 8th grade dance and Sport Night featuring Dr. Dodgeball 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Pollard Middle School. Admission is $8. Snacks and water may be purchased for $1 to $2 at the snack bar. For more information visit http://www.needhamma.gov/index.aspx?NID=3064.


    4. Food Drive

    The Registry of Deeds, 649 High St., Dedham will hold a food drive Nov. 12 until Dec. 27. Non-perishable food items can be brought directly to the building in a donation bin set up in the lobby, which is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


    5. In case you missed it…

    Senator Richard J. Ross (R-Wrentham) voted today to pass legislation to strengthen regulatory management of Massachusetts compounding pharmacies. The bill was filed in the aftermath of an outbreak of fungal meningitis that was linked to a compounding pharmacy in Framingham. It alters the composition of the Board of Registration in Pharmacy and establishes several licensing requirements. The bill was passed unanimously by the Senate.
