Needham Public Library Adding FREEGAL and AtoZ Databases for Residents

2. Needham Public Library news

The Reference Department of the Needham Public Library is announcing the addition of two new databases for Needham residents. FREEGAL, a music database, paid for by Friends of the Needham Public Library, contains over 7 million songs from over 10,000 labels. You can have up to three free downloads of music per week and it works with most devices, including IPads and IPods.

The other database, AtoZ Databases, is an integrated collection of seven different databases, providing information for over 30 million businesses and executives. Small business owners can generate and download information to create mailing lists. Students can research businesses by industry, segment, or company size. One of the included databases is a job-hunting site which can be searched by keyword and geography. You can apply for a job right on the site. This database also covers of 220 million residents, with contact information you can use to search for long-lost friends and classmates. These databases may be found on the Library’s webpage located on the Town of Needham website. Click on Access to Databases and Online Resources. Then click on “click here”.
