Council on Aging Activities, Kabbalat Shabbat and Other Friday Happenings

1. Council on Aging will hold the following events today - 

  • 9 a.m.: Table Tennis
  • 9:15 a.m.: Senior Strength
  • 9:15 a.m.: Quilting
  • 10:30 a.m.: Low Vision Group
  • 10:30 a.m.: Ex Park & Rec
  • 11:45 a.m.: Lunch
  • 1 p.m.: Bridge – Men
  • 1 p.m.: Board Games
  • 1 p.m.: Mah Jong
  • 1 p.m.: Movie showing “Quartet” (2012)

2. Needham resident Glenn Bassett will perform in Moonstruck Theater Company’s production of “Little Shop of Horrors.” The show opens tonight and running for seven performances through Oct. 27. Performances will take place at Amazing Things Art Center, 160 Hollis St., Framingham. For more information click here.

3. Join Temple Aliyah, 1664 Central Ave., Needham for a family Kabbalat Shabbat—a service welcoming the Sabbath—for families with children in grades K-6 and their siblings, at 6:15 p.m. There will be a musical family service followed by an Israeli-style dinner. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for kids 9 and older and $5 for kids 8 younger. Family registration (two adults and children) is $50. RSVP to Toby at tobyunger.unger@gmail.com.
