DESCRIPTION:The Needham Free Public Library will present "Stephen Lechner
  and his Cabinet of Scientific Curiosities" on Wednesday\, Aug. 22 at 3 
 p.m.\, in the Community Room.\nIn introducing us to his unusual &ldquo\;
 Cabinet of Curiosities\,&rdquo\; (which mysteriously appeared on his doo
 rstep one day with a note: &ldquo\;Please look after this cabinet\, it i
 s filled with all the dreams and inventions I have been working on since
  I was a baby&rdquo\;)\, Lechner starts us on a magical\, mystical journ
 ey. As he begins to open the doors in the cabinet\, each one reveals an 
 object or experi&shy\;ment that imparts a science lesson. &ldquo\;Myster
 ies&rdquo\; in the box include such items as the Mysterious Bouncing Bal
 l\, the Laughing Cup\, the Color-Changing Mystery\, the Magical-Appearin
 g Snow\, the Dancing Monkeys\, the Traveling Sand Bugs\, the Anti-Gravit
 y Spray\, and more. With a lot of audience participation and funny busin
 ess as each mystery is revealed\, this program is a perfect way to end o
