Shabbaton 2012: Men’s Club Shabbat and Kiddush Luncheon
Serge Etele, lay leader of the Jewish community in Cameroon, will be featured speaker at Temple Aliyah’s Shabbaton 2012 weekend March 2-3.
On Saturday, March 3 at 9:15 a.m., Temple Aliyah will host the Men’s Club Shabbat and Kiddush Luncheon as part of the Shabbaton 2012 Weekend.
Etele will speak about Beth Yeshourun and its connection to emerging Jewish communities throughout Africa and the world; after Kiddush, he will discuss the lives of children in his village with youth from Temple Aliyah.

Temple Aliyah is a Jewish synagogue that urges its members to "enrich their Jewish lives, to enhance their Jewish identities and to engage in lifelong learning." Rabbi Carl M. Perkins conducts services throughout the week.
