OnWednesday, December 19 at 7:00 P.M. the Needham Free Public Library will Host Dr. Caitrin Lynch and a panel of guests as they discuss her recent book, "Retirement on the Line: Age, Work and Value in an American Factory."
The book is about Vita Needle, the factory located in Needham, and the panel participants are all employees at Vita Needle. Caitrin Lynch spent five years researching Vita Needle, which is well known for its commitment to an elderly workforce. Her book explores what this means for the employer, the workers, the community of Needham and society in general.
The discussion will be held in conjunction with the Library’s Evening Book Club, which has chosen Dr. Lynch’s book as their December book. The program is free and open to the public.
