Bring your comfy lawn chairs, cozy blankets and enjoy a free movie under the stars at Parent Talk's annual Flicks on the Field event, Saturday, Aug. 25 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Memorial Field. Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase.
Have younger children that may not make it through the movie? Come early at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy food, children's entertainment, a bounce house, face painting and so much more. The movie, Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax," will begin at sundown, around 7:35 p.m.
All families are asked to bring an item to donate to the Needham Community Council Food Pantry. Items most needed are listed at

More About Memorial Park
With stately Needham High School perched atop the hill beside it, Memorial Park offers a plethora of activities for those who visit. The recently renovated park often finds athletes utilizing the two baseball diamonds, as well as the multiuse synthetic field, all of which are lit up at night. During warmer months, live music is played at the park's gazebo.
As its name implies, Memorial Park also pays tribute to veterans through a granite monument, plaques and American flags. As one inscription reads, the park is dedicated to the "men and women of Needham who served the armed forces of our great country in all wars."
