BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID;X-RICAL-TZSOURCE=TZINFO:-//com.denhaven2/NONSGML ri_cal gem//EN CALSCALE:GREGORIAN VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT DESCRIPTION:The fair is for all rising ninth graders who are interested in playing a sport or taking part in a club or organization at Needha m High School next year.\nThe NHS Athletic Department\, along with stud ent club and organization members\, will start the evening off with an informational presentation in the high school auditorium from 6-6:30 p .m. This is a very important meeting for all rising ninth graders\, es pecially for those planning to play a sport at the high school\, as at hletic policies and procedures will be reviewed and high school and st ate eligibility standards will be discussed. \;\nFrom 6:30-7 p.m.\ , students will be given a tour of the high school building and facili ties (led by NHS National Honor Society students) while an interactive workshop\, &ldquo\;Developing Winners in Life Through Sports\," will be presented for the parents. Workshop topics will include: How parents can help ensure their student-athletes&rsquo\; experience yields heal thy\, developmental outcomes that will serve them far beyond the playi ng field\; guidelines for developing a positive coach/parent relations hip\; and scenarios and discussions about academic eligibility\, inju ries and cutting from teams. \;\nFrom 7-8:15 p.m.\, open sessions wi ll be held in the A gym and the cafeteria. Athletics will be set up in the A gym\, with captains\, athletes and coaches from all of the high school sports programs on hand to answer questions and talk about the ir experiences. Athletic permission forms will also be available for s tudents to sign up for specific sports for the 2012-13 school year.
