If you have driven by the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church in the fall, you will know why it is often called the "Pumpkin Church."  The annual fall pumpkin sale has become a cornerstone of the church and its surrounding community.  100% of the proceeds from the pumpkin sale go toward the many mission objectives- local and global- that the church supports. The energy and outreach that make the pumpkin sale so special are vital to the lifeblood of the church all year long.

The church's wide variety of programs include:  spirited Sunday worship services at 10:15 a.m. led by Reverend Gary Shaw, children's and adult sunday school, mission opportunities (lasting one day or a full week), senior ministries, small group studies, a vibrant music ministry and many fellowship opportunities.

Saw these guys' smiling faces on a bulletin board at the library. I look forward to hearing them around town soon.
