Chocolate and Champagne Party for the Needham Historical Society
The Needham Historical Society will host their sixth annual Chocolate and Champagne party on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 7:30-10 p.m., at the Historical Society, 1147 Central Ave. Guests will be treated to a tasting of fine chocolate delicacies prepared by local chocolatiers, and a selection of wines, champagne and beer. A silent auction and live music will round out the evening's festivities.
Funds raised through this event help to support Historical Society events, lectures, exhibits and school programs. Ticket prices are $35 each for members and $40 for non-members. Reservations may be made in person at the Needham Historical Society, by mailing a check to the society’s address at 1147 Central Ave., Needham, MA 02492, or online at www.needhamhistory.org. The Needham Historical Society presents many historical lectures and workshops throughout the year. The Society also plans events like the annual Pansy Day Festival in April, and a Chocolate Creations and Champagne outing in February.
Established in 1915, the Historical Society houses everything from Native American artifacts and historic flags to genealogical documents, town reports and more than 5,000 photos. The Web site also features several online exhibits and feature articles. Visitors will also find gift items and books for sale.
Meetings are typically held at the Upper Falls Schoolhouse on Central Avenue.
