During the past few months I have posted about the issues that face the Governor’s Council.
During the past four years I have advocated for a more active Governor’s Council that creates a public record about each nominee for appointed office.
Throughout this process I have had the cooperation of all parties involved.
The changes that I have initiated and championed have been supported by members of the existing Governor’s Council as well as new candidates for office.
Features on my website, PatrickMcCabeGovernorsCouncil.com, have been copied on the Governor’s Council website.
I believe I have shown myself to be experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated to the purpose of having the best system for vetting these nominations. I have advocated for openness, transparency and accountability.
I am working to have all information used to vet a nominee that appears before the Governor’s Council, readily available to the public via the web. I make recordings of the meetings and the hearings available to all via the web.
I have worked for and support a truly democratic process.
I ask for your support this Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012.
