Fourth Congressional District candidate Joe Kennedy III took reader questions in a live text chat on Oct. 12, starting at 1 p.m. 

Kennedy, a Democrat, is running against Republican Sean Bielat to fill the seat of retiring Congressman Barney Frank of Newton. 

The chat lasted roughly 45 minutes, and readers were invited to submit questions.
