I would say run for Governor but this state isn't smart to vote for someone who doesn't have a D besides his name. I swear they could have run Ted Kennedy again and people would have voted for him.

Run for Senate when Kerry is appointed Sec. of State.

The smartest thing he could do: drop his Republican affiliation and declare himself an Independent (as he effectively did during the campaign). The Republican brand has become toxic in Massachusetts.

The second smartest thing he could do: "I saw the light on the road to Damascus on election day, at Holy Name parish in West Roxbury. Some union guys were giving me grief and one of them told my videographer 'Hey, photograph this. It's a working man's truck'. I thought that the act with the barn coat and the truck made me one of them, and I was wrong. It was really about helping them to get ahead, and too often as Senator, I blew it. I voted for the big money guys and not for them, and they knew it. Now I know it too."

That said, I think he's going to stay in DC. He's got an office in the Pentagon, and a house there, and Gail is working for a TV station in Maryland. Best thing would be for Obama to appoint him as an Assistant Secretary or an Under Secretary of the Army. Which would be entirely in character for both men..

Get a JOB. He's a career politician! He was a state senator for 15 years, then US Senator for 3. His default mode seems to be snark & sarcasm; I really dislike this guy.

Become a bit less bipartisan. As much as I personally wish he'd won, every time I saw his commercials pointing out that he was as much a democrat as a republican, I thought that in that case, people might as well vote for the real thing, namely a democrat. But if there's a special election because Kerry leaves his Senate seat, I'd vote for him again. Especially due to his strong support for Israel.

I think that Scott Brown just needs to ride in his truck because he didnt do anything in the senate except benefit himself just like all of the other republicans always voting no to everything .unless it benifits him

Well, although this didn't ask about the President, since Katie brought it up, Scott Brown has far more experience than Mr. Obama had prior to running for President. That said, I hope that he runs for Senate again, calls himself an Independent (since someone above was right; Brown is neither Republican nor Democrat), and that someone more in the mold of Bill Weld runs for Governor. In my opinion, Weld was the last decent governor we had in this state.
