TELL US: Are You Eating Peanut Butter?

With the voluntary recall of peanut butter and other nut butters, are you eating anything that contains peanut butter?

Peanut butter is a staple in most American households. Most school lunches are packed with peanut butter sandwiches, peanut butter crackers or peanut butter cookies.

With the voluntary recall of peanut butter and peanut butter products, are you eating or serving any peanut or nut butter? Thirty people across 19 states have recently reported salmonella food poisoning, linked to contaminated nut butters.

If you are not sending the kids off to school with a peanut butter sandwich, what are you giving them for lunch?

Let us know in the coments section: Is the peanut butter and other nut butter recalls stopping you from eating peanut butter?

Luckily, I don't shop at Trader Joe's, Whole Paycheck, Stop and Shop or any other fancy overpriced store. We eat Skippy from Market Basket. We're doing just fine.

Teddy's Natural peanut butter has the real taste of peanuts, no added sweeteners. It's a Mass company.....don't know where their peanuts come from.

Yes, I've also switched to Teddy's Natural (of Everett) in order to avoid the hydrogenated fat.
(although I still love the 'real' homogenized peanut butter, any brand will do, Teddy's included)

It's pretty much what I eat.

Deb, you clearly DON'T shop at TJ's. Their prices are their main attraction. You're so busy being a reverse snob, you failed to check. Skippy isn't food, hun. Stop putting it in your mouth. It's gross.

Skippy won't give you salmonella. Salmonella's gross, Some Guy. Gotta say this is about the least informative piece I've read. All the major brands of peanut butter are ok. Only Trader Joe's is a problem. Why can't the piece just say that? Trying to make mom feel guilty?
