This Thursday, the Needham Park and Recreation's Arts in the Park series will continue with a performance by the Needham Community Band. Already this summer, the Memorial Park stage has hosted the Canton American Legion Community Band, Four Guys in Tuxes and the Tom Nutile Big Band, plus kid-friendly performers like Stacey Peasley.
Over the Fourth of July weekend, several groups participated in events in Needham, from the Spirit of America band, which marched in the parade, to the Haverhill Sons of Italy Drum and Bugle Corps.
And throughout the summer, Longwood Opera has been bringing a variety of operatic performances to the Christ Episcopal Church on Tuesday evenings—another show is scheduled tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.
So far, this summer's performers have brought a little something for everyone. For this week's question, we want to know: What musician or group should play in Needham? Whether it's a small, local band you've heard at a festival, a really talented Boston-area musician whose star is on the rise or an internationally-known pop star (Gaga Live at Memorial Park?), we want to know who you want to hear.
