Police Reports: Toddler's Uncle Charged with Assault

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

 

A Needham man has been charged with assaulting a child after a 20-month-old boy was injured while in his care.

Needham Police were called to a Hillcrest Road residence on Saturday, June 30 at around 8:21 p.m. for the report of an unknown disturbance. When police arrived, they found that a toddler, a 20-month-old male, had been injured while in the care of his uncle. The child was taken to Boston Children's Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

Following an investigation into the incident by Needham Police, Massachusetts State Police and Children's Hospital, the boy's uncle, a 32-year-old Hillcrest Road resident, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery on a child with injury.

The uncle might not been able to put up with the brats crying.

Do you realize how ridiculous your comment sounds? "The brats crying" is no justification for a 32 year old to hit a defenseless 20-month old baby. Also, that is a rather hypocritical statement due to the fact that you yourself were once a child that most likely caused the same annoyance.

Well it appears John is rather slow, he should learn how to spell words that are in the article. The child may be a brat, but I would rather spend a day with that child than 5 minutes with John. Tough guys always seem to lash out at the defenseless.
