Police Reports: Rental Vehicle Reported Stolen
The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.
Police were called to Muzi Chevrolet on Highland Avenue for the report of a rental vehicle that had not been returned. The rental agent showed police a copy of the one-week rental agreement, which was signed on May 4. The agent had attempted to contact the customer several times. The vehicle was entered as stolen.

Vehicle Rolls in Fire Engine
Needham Police and Fire were called to an Evelyn Road residence to assist with a sick person. While officials were at the scene, the sick party's vehicle rolled down the driveway and into a fire engine, according to report. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries from the crash.
Vandalism to Truck
A Chestnut Street resident reported on Tuesday, June 5 that someone had keyed the tailgate area of her truck on May 26.
Mechanical Error Blamed in Parking Lot Crash
A two-vehicle crash was reported on Tuesday, June 5 in the parking lot of Riverside Community Care.
One witness told police that a vehicle was waiting to park when it suddenly accelerated backwards, striking a parked vehicle and forcing the second vehicle into an adjacent fence. The driver of the first vehicle blamed the crash on mechanical error.
The matter is under investigation.
