Police Reports: Multiple Break-ins at Charles River Landing Apartments
The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.
Needham Police are investigating break-ins that occurred last week in three units at the Charles River Landing apartments on Second Avenue.
The break-ins were reported on Tuesday, May 8 at around 4:20 p.m. In all three cases, the doors to the apartments had been pried open. An unknown amount of property was taken from the units.
On Wednesday, May 9, at around 6:32 p.m., Needham Police responded to another incident at Charles River Landing—this time, an attempted break-in at one of the apartments.
All the incidents remain under investigation.

Local Man Arrested for Cocaine Possession
A Needham man was arrested for cocaine possession on Tuesday, May 8 after police stopped his vehicle for having a broken taillight.
The man was pulled over near the intersection of Kendrick Street and Greendale Avenue at around 2:40 a.m. While speaking with him, police reportedly observed a substance in the vehicle believed to be narcotics. The item was seized and the operator, a 29-year-old Hillside Avenue resident, was arrested for possession of cocaine.
Sick Raccoon Being Tested for Rabies
Police were called to the area of Perrault Road on Tuesday, May 8 at around 6:28 p.m. for the report of a sick raccoon. An officer located the raccoon and removed it from the area. It was taken away to be tested for rabies, according to reports.
Internet Fraud Reported
A New Jersey woman contacted police on Wednesday, May 9 to report that she was the victim of Internet fraud while staying at the Sheraton Needham Hotel. Needham Police along with the FBI are investigating.
Wallet Stolen from Vehicle
A Pickering Street resident reported that his wallet was stolen out of his vehicle while it was parked in front of Dunkin’ Donuts on Highland Avenue. The vehicle had been left unlocked and the wallet was in plain sight, according to reports.
Kid’s Slide Taken
An Evelyn Road resident reported on Wednesday, May 9 that a Little Tikes folding slide was taken from their backyard sometime over the past couple of weeks.
