Police Reports: Intoxicated Man Taken to Hospital
The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.
A 27-year-old Needham man was taken to the hospital after he was found lying in the front yard of a West Street residence at around 4:58 a.m. on Sunday, April 22.
A Needham police officer on patrol came across the individual, who was “obviously intoxicated,” according to reports. He was taken into protective custody and transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham.

Cash, Registration Taken in Vehicle Break-in
A vehicle parked at a garage on Second Avenue was broken into on Friday, April 20 and cash, a radar detector and the vehicle’s registration were stolen. The incident was reported at around 10 p.m. Police are investigating.
Flowerpot Taken from Shed
A flowerpot was reported missing from the back shed of a residence on Emerson Road on Saturday, April 21. The pot had last been seen in the fall and was only recently discovered missing, according to reports.
Cell Phone Stolen from Party
A woman reported that her cell phone was stolen from a house party on Captain Robert Cook Drive on Sunday, April 22.
Medication, Clothes Reported Missing
A Chestnut Street resident reported on Monday, April 23 that someone had been taking medication and clothes from her. Needham Police are following up with her.
Rental Vehicle Reported Stolen
A rental vehicle was reported stolen on Monday, April 23 after the customer failed to return it to the dealership. The vehicle had been out since February.
Items Taken from Vehicle at Bakery
Police were called to the parking lot of Hazel’s Bakery on Great Plain Avenue on Monday, April 23 for the report of a vehicle break-in. Several items were taken from the vehicle while the owner was inside the shop.
