Police Reports: Glass Door Smashed on Bird Street
The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.
A home on Bird Street was broken into on Thursday, May 24 and jewelry was taken.
The incident was reported at around 6:49 p.m. The glass porch door to the residence had been smashed. Needham Police detectives processed the scene and conducted a canvas of the neighborhood, according to reports.
Police are investigating.

Break-ins at Vacant Buildings
Police were called to Dale Street on Monday, May 21 for the report of several break-ins at vacant buildings in the area. The break-ins occurred over the weekend. The matter remains under investigation.
Vehicle Reported Stolen from Muzi Motors
Police were called to Muzi Motors’ service department on Monday, May 21 for the report of a stolen vehicle. After an investigation, police determined that a Hyde Park resident had removed the vehicle from the lot over the weekend without completing the appropriate paperwork. The matter will be handled internally, and no charges will be sought at this time.
Vehicle Damaged on Melrose Avenue
Police were called to Muzi Ford on Monday, May 21 for the report of vandalism to a vehicle that had been brought there for repair. The vehicle’s left front tire had puncture marks in the sidewall. The vehicle owner told police the damage had occurred overnight at her Melrose Avenue residence.
Computer Stolen in Office Break-in
Employees at a West Street office reported on Wednesday, May 23 that someone had broken into the building overnight and stolen a computer. Police are investigating.
Cash Stolen from Vehicle
A Rosemary Way resident reported that their car had been broken into sometime between Sunday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 23. Fifty dollars in cash was taken from the vehicle.
