Police Reports: Arrow Found Stuck in Needham House

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction

 

A Pinewood Road resident called police on Sunday after he discovered an arrow had been shot into the back of his house. No one was injured.

 A Needham Police officer who responded to the residence The residence around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 reportedly found an arrow sticking out of the back of the structure about 25 feet off the ground.

The incident remains under investigation.

Other incidents of vandalism reported to Needham Police over the past week:

Vehicle Keyed in Library Parking Lot 
A local resident parked at the Needham Free Public Library contacted police after someone keyed her vehicle on Saturday morning.

A witness reported seeing a woman key the car around 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, then drive off. He was able to write down her license plate number and provided it to Needham Police. A check with the Registry of Motor Vehicles revealed that a 60-year-old Dedham woman owned the vehicle that had left the scene. She is being summonsed to Dedham District Court for malicious destruction of property, according to police reports.

Man Believes Teens Slashed His Tire 
A Rosemary Street resident called police after a group of teenage boys allegedly slashed the tires on his vehicle while he was sitting on his front porch.

The man told police that around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, he had been sitting on his porch when he heard a “rush of air” coming from the parking lot and observed a group of teenage boys running through the apartment complex. The next day, the man found that the front passenger side tire on his vehicle was flat and appeared to have been slashed, according to reports.

Though the man told police he believed the teenagers were involved in the incident, he could not provide a description of them. No other vehicles in the area appeared to have been damaged at the time of the report.

Tire Slashed on Perrault Road 
A Perrault Road resident reported that someone had slashed his vehicle tire sometime overnight on Saturday, June 12.

A Needham Police officer responding to the residence around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, June 13 observed two puncture marks in the sidewall of the tire. It did not appear that the vehicle had hit an object while driving because there were no scuffmarks on the sidewall, according to police reports. The tire was new and valued at about $70.

Police had no suspects as of Tuesday morning.

Vehicle Window Broken While Resident Was Away
A David Road resident returned home from vacation to find that her vehicle window had been broken while she was away.

The woman called police around 4:55 p.m. on Monday, June 13 to report that someone had broken her rear left vehicle window while she was on vacation between June 4 and June 11. The vehicle had been parked in the woman’s driveway, according to reports.

The incident remains under investigation.

Fence Spray Painted a Second Time 
Rosemary Street residents called police last week after their fence was vandalized with black spray paint in the same spot where it had been vandalized a few years ago.

Police responded to the home around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, June 6 and found that someone had stenciled letters (the wording was not specified in the police report) onto a fence that had been erected recently to replace an older fence, which had also been spray painted in the same spot, according to reports.
