Plymouth Rock Awards $300 To RADD Club
The Needham chapter of the national student group SADD plans positive events encouraging youth to live substance free.
Rockets Against Destructive Decisions (RADD), the Needham chapter of the national student group SADD, coordinates fun, social events and educational programs providing positive activities that support and empower youth to be substance free. Recently, the RADD club was awarded a $300 donation to continue their positive leadership work. The award was funded by Plymouth Rock Assurance and local business, Aronson Insurance as part of their commitment to promoting safe decision making both on and off the road.
The funds from Plymouth Rock will be critical in funding a pro-social evening activity featuring local bands, ping pong and food, enabling students to have fun together in a substance free environment.
“We are truly grateful that Plymouth Rock is recognizing the work RADD is doing,” said Carol Read, Director of the Needham Coalition for Youth Substance Abuse Prevention and founder of RADD. “Every bit helps in shaping positive norms in the community and the collaboration between adults in the community and businesses like Aronson Insurance and Plymouth Rock draws a positive connection with good decision making. This recognition and donation has empowered RADD students to continue their efforts.”
