More than 250 Needham teens turned out for the second 5th Quarter event of the fall season following the Needham High School football team's game against Braintree on Friday, Sept. 21.

Sponsored by the Needham Coalition for Youth Substance Abuse Prevention, the event included free pizza and refreshments, a live DJ, ping pong and foosball.

The program is supported by donations from the community as well as this year's primary event sponsor, the Needham Education Foundation. The office of Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey also co-sponsored this event.

Parent volunteers are always needed to help set up for 5th Quarter, to pick up pizza, serve and break down afterward. Contact Bob Timmerman or Karen Mullen if you'd like to donate your time or know of a business that would like to sponsor a 5th Quarter event.

NCYSAP's next 5th Quarter event will be held on Friday, Oct. 5.
