Police Respond to Overturned Auto on Grove Street

Needham and Wellesley police responding to a crash on Grove Street involving a pedestrian struck and a car overturned.

 

[Update: According to a police press release, the crashed vehicle had hit a parked landscaping trailer and rolled over on Grove Street this morning, at about 8:15 a.m. Equipment from the trailer hit a landscaping worker.

The driver, a 57-year-old woman from Natick, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconness in Boston with minor injuries. The worker was also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. 10:51 a.m.]

Scanners report that, at about 8:30 a.m., police received a report of an overturned car on Grove Street, near the town line. Reports indicate a pedestrian was struck in the crash.

Wellesley Police tweeted a photo of the crash, which shows a silver Mazda upside down on the road. One patient reportedly taken to Beth Israel in Boston.

On 11/21/2012 at approximately 8:13am the Needham Police responded to the area of 380 Grove St for a report of a motor vehicle that had crashed into a parked landscape trailer and rolled over.   As a result of the crash the equipment on the trailer was pushed into a nearby worker.  The operator, a 57 year old Natick female, was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Boston with minor injuries.  The worker, a middle age male, was also transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Boston with unknown injuries.  The accident is currently under investigation by the Needham Police.
