Needham Man Faces Child Pornography Charges
Prosecutors say they found "disturbing, violent images" of children engaged in sex acts with adults on a work computer the man used.
A Needham man was in court Thursday to face accusations of possession of child pornography. The alleged porn was found on the work computer at the man's job in Jamaica Plain.
Prosecutors say Keith L. Millan, 57, had "disturbing, violent images" of children engaged in sex acts with adults. The images were allegedly on a computer the man used in his work with a Boston property management firm, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
While the DA did not specify the property management firm, a Keith Millan is listed on LinkedIn as working at Leeder Management Co.of Brookline. The DA's office told Universal Hub the man worked in JP. Leeder manages Perkins Square Apartments in JP.
According to prosecutors, the man's employers found porn (of the non-child variety) last year on a "Dell Inspiron laptop computer, Seagate external hard drive, and three compact discs the Millan had used but the company owned." The firm fired Millan, according to the DA's office.
While refiguring the computer, the company found what it thought were child porn images. Police got a warrant to search the computer and found "more than 100 photograph and video files depicting adults engaging in explicit sexual activity with young boys and girls," prosecutors said in a press release.
Judge Mary Ann Driscoll on Thursday set bail at $25,000 and issued orders prohibiting the man from having contact with children under 16 or using a computer. The judge is having the Department of Children and Families decide if the man may see his own children.
Persons charged are innocent until proven guilty.
