Jogger Reportedly Struck by Blow Dart

Incident happened as man was running down Central Ave.

At roughly 7:42 p.m. on April 30, Officer Shannon Drumm was flagged down by a jogger in the area of Central Ave. and Forest St. The jogger, reported Officer Drumm, appeared to be in a great deal of pain.

The man was holding his right forearm area and stated that he had been hit by something. He later clarified that the object had been a blow dart and that it likely came from a silver pickup truck that had passed him.

Right before he was reportedly shot, the jogger observed high school aged kids in a passing truck. He continued to run a few more steps until the pain increased and he realized that a blow dart was protruding from his arm. He quickly removed the foreign object.
