Happy Thanksgiving, Needham!
Throughout town today, families and friends will be sitting down to feast on traditional holiday fare, from sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie to the ever popular turkey and dressing.
Before the meal, though, many will be heading over to Wellesley High School to see the Rockets in action in their 124th Thanksgiving Day football game against the Wellesley Raiders. Kick-off is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tickets at the gate cost $10 per person. Look for the score on Needham Patch later today, and check out our photo gallery of images from the game on Friday.
Once you've counted your blessings and put away the dinner (perhaps to pull it out again a few hours later for those delicious Thanksgiving leftovers), log on to Needham Patch and tell us what you're thankful for. While you're here, take a look at our feature on what Needham elementary school students said they are thankful for this year or hear first graders from the John Eliot School tell you in their own words.
And be sure to take our poll about whether you'll be braving the Black Friday crowds tomorrow.
If you're not much into Thanksgiving or were hoping to get some errands done today, here's a look at some of the places you won't be able to get into because of the federal holiday:

Needham's RTS is closed today.
