The MIAA this week announced the Needham High School boys volleyball and girls lacrosse state tournament seedings and schedules.

After a 19-1(11-0 BSC) season that saw the NHS girls lacrosse team defeat 15 state tournament-qualifying teams, the Rockets earned the No. 1 seed in the Division I South Section. 

The team will open play on Wednesday, May 30 at home on Memorial Field against the winner of the New Bedford at Whitman Hanson game. Starting time is TBA.

For the NHS boys volleyball team, their 16-4 (14-2 BSC) record was good enough to earn them the No. 3 seed in the Division I South Section. 

The Rockets will host the sixth-seeded Mustangs of Norwood on Tuesday night, May 29 in the NHS A Gym at 6:30 p.m.

The boys lacrosse seedings and brackets will be released on Friday, May 25, while the boys and girls tennis information will be released on Wednesday, May 30.
