1. Rain and clouds: Expect scattered showers and clouds today, with patchy fog before 10:00 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will range from a high around 76 degrees to a low around 62. Showers are possible into the evening as well.
2. Become a friendly visitor: Learn more about the Needham Council on Aging’s Friendly Visitor Program at an open house and luncheon today from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Stephen Palmer Senior Center. The program matches up volunteers and seniors for weekly visits to chat, play cards, take a walk or share a snack. RSVP by calling 781-455-7555.
3. Library activities: Children ages 2-6 are invited to drop by the Needham Free Public Library from 4:00-4:45 p.m. for crafts with a “Farm Animals Week” theme. Also today, at 7:30 p.m. hear Bob Begin give a talk on John Paul Jones and his contributions to the cause of the American Revolution.
4. Grant info: Interested in applying for a Needham Cultural Council grant? Attend a grant information session from 6:00-6:30 p.m. at the Needham Historical Society.
