Despite the threat of rain and thunderstorms, huge crowds gathered and the evening celebration July 3 went off without a hitch at Memorial Park. The Reminisants concert entertained the crowd with oldies tunes throughout the evening and the fireworks show began shortly after 9:00 pm all courtesy of the Needham Exchange Club.
A special treat for the crowd this year as Needham celebrates its tercentennial was music synchronized with the fireworks. Rounding out the grand finale was the popular Katy Perry song, "Firework."
