Catch Aly Raisman's Debut on Tonight's 'Dancing with the Stars'
New season of the dance reality show airs Monday night at 8 p.m.
If you were planning to catch Aly Raisman on TV, then be on your couch at 8 p.m. tonight, set to ABC (or set your DVRs).
The "Dancing With the Stars" premier runs from 8 p.m. to 10:01 p.m., with the DWTS Results Show airing tomorrow night from 9 to 10:01 p.m.
Aly -- called Alexandra on the program -- Raisman will dance with professional dancer Mark Ballas. Other celebrities cutting the rug this season include singer Wynonna Judd and actors Andy Dick and D.L. Hughley. The line-up was announced on "Good Morning America" and on the DWTS website in February, confirming rumors that Raisman would be on the show.
For more information, see the ABC Dancing With the Stars page.
Among the accomplishments listed on her bio page, her gold medal wins, being named co-Bostonian of the Year in December with her fellow Mass. Olympian, Kayla Harrison, presenting atthe annual Video Music Awards and winning a We Got Game award from Cartoon Network's "Hall of Game" along with her fellow 2012 Olympians.
For the people of Needham, she may need no introduction. Just in case: After picking up a gold medal in gymnastics, Needham gave the 18-year-old Olympic team captain a welcome home worthy of an Olympian after the London 2012 games, complete with parade and the Aly Rally. She is using her celebrity for a cause, as well, by letting kids know it's OK to say 'no' to booze.
