Community Invited to Discover 'True North'

North Hill event will feature live music, gourmet food and wine and details about their upcoming building project.

 

With Town Meeting approval Monday night of zoning changes that will accommodate North Hill's new building plans, the community is invited to come celebrate the launch of Project True North with a free lifestyle event on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

The evening filled will feature more than 15 booths representing travel, gardening, arts and culture and community service organizations, live cooking demonstrations, dishes made with fresh local produce provided by Volante Farms, wine tastings from Urban Grape and musical performances by Boston Conservatory of Music professors.

In addition, those who attend will have chances to win prizes including $250 gift certificate from Winston Flowers, $250 gift certificate from Volante Farms, collection of books from New England Mobile Book Fair, two tickets to dinner with Tom Brokaw followed by a Boston Speakers Series lecture by Brokaw and one free double-accommodation space on any one of four AuthentiCity 2012/2013 destinations—China, Athens, Siena or Cairo.

The event is geared toward Baby Boomers and seniors and will run from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at North Hill, 865 Central Ave.
