Big Wins for Rockets LAX
The Needham High School girls will face Westwood in the D1 South Final on Friday, while the boys will play a team TBA in the semifinal on Saturday.
The Needham High School girls and boys lacrosse teams will move on in the state tournament after earning key victories on Wednesday, June 6.
The top-seeded girls team defeated Natick 17-10 at home Wednesday and will face off against Westwood for the MIAA Division 1 South championship on Friday, June 8 at 5 p.m., again at home on Memorial Field.
In a closer game, the No. 6 boys lacrosse team beat Masonomet 9-8 on the opponents' turf on Wednesday and will next host a team to be announced in the East State Semifinal on Saturday, June 9, here at Memorial Field. Game time is 5 p.m.
Tickets to both home lacrosse games are available at the gate and cost $5 for students and senior citizens and $7 for adults. Children ages 6 and under get in free.
