Aly Raisman named a Bostonian of the Year
Along with Kayla Harrison, two Mass. Olympians are named this year's Boston.com Bostonians of the Year. Aly's mom also had her 15 Minutes of Fame, according to Time.
Aly Raisman is among the most famous Needham residents, and is getting a shout-out from Boston.com as well.
Their year in review piece from earlier today names her and fellow Olympian Kayla Harrison as Bostonians of the Year, along with a review of her performance at the TD Garden earlier in the year.
In April, she will also be inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
Harrison, a Marblehead resident who was the first American to win an Olympic gold medal in judo, is also one of Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year.
And, after a Video of Aly Raisman's Parents went viral over the summer, her mother was named to Time's The Year 15 Minutes of Fame, a part of their Person of the Year segment, coming in at number 7.
