Library activities: Drop by the Needham Free Public Library today for storytime (ages 5 and up) at 10 a.m. or pirate-themed crafts (ages 2-6) at 4 p.m. Adults are invited to join the Needham Public Library Evening Book Club’s discussion of “The Warmth of Other Suns” by Isabel Wilkinson at 7 p.m. Questions about any of these free programs? Parents’ night: Needham High School guidance counselors will share information about the college planning and application process during a Senior Parents’ Information Night tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. No registration required. 4. Basketball signups: Walk-in registrations for St. Joseph's In-Town Basketball League, open to boys and girls in grades 5-8, will be held in the Kennedy Center Gym at St. Joseph's today from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9-11 a.m. Registration forms for the 2012-13 season can be found online at www.stjoesintownhoop.com.
5. Town-wide Cleanup: It's time again for Needham's Fall Town-wide Cleanup Day, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 8:30-11 a.m. Volunteers will meet at the Public Services Administration Building to receive their cleanup assignment and trash bags. Registration is requested but it is not required. To register, go to www.needhamma.gov and under the “For Residents” option choose "Park and Recreation online registration." Scroll down to choose "Town Wide Clean Up Day." All ages are welcome to attend.
