2. Add-a-Lane Project update: The Needham Heights Neighborhood Association will host a meeting at 7 p.m. at the Needham Free Public Library Community Room. Lawrence Cash, project manager from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, will update residents on the status of the Route 128 Add-a-Lane Highway Project and its anticipated impact on the town of Needham in the months ahead. All Needham residents are invited. Visit www.needhamheights.org for more information.

3. SEPAC meeting: The Needham Special Education Parents Advisory Council will meet from 7-9 p.m. in the Broadmeadow Elementary School library. Learn more about SEPAC at www.NeedhamSEPAC.org.

4. Scholarship essay due: Needham Baseball is accepting applications for the Jackie Bergin Memorial Scholarship, which is given annually to the high school student (all Needham residents are eligible) who best answers the prompt: "What Needham Baseball means to me.” All essays must be submitted by June 11 to Stuart Altman. Learn more at needhambaseball.com.

5. College-age music program: The Plugged In Band Program in Needham is offering a new summer program for musicians 18-22 years old. The 1-1/2-hour evening jam sessions will take place one to two times per week for five weeks. Musicians can also sign up for an optional recording session and performances. Jam sessions will be led by Berklee-trained Plugged In staff. Plugged In created this program for musicians who may be home from college for the summer, are working during the day and may not have a network of local musicians with whom to play. Musicians can sign up and be placed with other similarly aged musicians and/or sign up as a band. For more information, visit www.pluggedinband.org, e-mail srizkallah@comcast.net or call 781-956-4281. Deadline to sign up is June 15.
