NPS School Committee and Needham Art Association will meet tonight at 7 p.m.

1. Warming up: Today will be sunny with a high near 57 degrees and a low around 36, according to the National Weather Service.
2. School board: The Needham Public Schools School Committee will meet today at 7 p.m. at Broadmeadow Elementary School. Items on the agenda include the Mitchell School Improvement Plan, an update on bullying prevention and a proposed 2013-14 academic calendar, among other items.
3. Art Association: The Needham Art Association will meet at 7 p.m. at the Needham Free Public Library. As part of the meeting, artist Susan Kelly will give an oil painting demonstration. 4. Healthy Needham: National Public Health Week will continue today with a neighborhood walk at 10:30 a.m. Meet at the Avery Crossings and Manor parking lot on West Street. This one-mile loop will travel Highland Avenue to Webster Street to Hillside Avenue to West Street. Tonight, from 5-7 p.m., Avita of Needham will host a Healthy Cooking Class and Dinner as part of Public Health Week.
