Susan Stanton, administrator at Wingate at Needham Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, is pleased to announce that George Xu was recently named Wingate at Needham’s Employee of the Year at the company’s annual outing held at Kimball Farms in Westford.

A resident of Needham, Xu is the facility’s concierge. As concierge, Xu is responsible for greeting prospective residents and families, arranging and providing facility tours, meeting with families of newly admitted residents, and assisting new residents during the transition process.

“It was great to receive this award. It’s a pleasure to work for Wingate Healthcare,” Xu said.

A graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in Public Relations, Xu joined Wingate in June 2011.

“George goes above and beyond the call of duty,” Stanton said. “He works with our new residents to make sure all of their needs are met during the transition process and ensures that their stay with us is as pleasant as possible.
