Bread of Life is a weekly free meal—open to all regardless of age or religious affiliation—held every Tuesday at Carter Memorial United Methodist Church.

"In the year we have been open, we are so pleased to have met the needs of many elderly and young families in our own community each week and have enjoyed growth as word has spread about this program," said Gina Downing, the church's program coordinator.

On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m., the church will hold a dinner and silent auction to raise funds needed to keep this ministry able to serve its guests and grow as the needs of the community require. To reserve seats, contact programcoordinator@carterumc.org. Tickets cost $10 each each or $25 per family.
