The Library Foundation of Needham will host the Black, White, & Read All Over Gala on Friday, Sept. 14 from 7-11 p.m. at the Needham Sheraton. 

Do you belong to a book club or just like to read? Then you won’t want to miss the opportunity to mingle with Gregory Maguire. Best known for "Wicked," Maguire is also a renowned author of children’s books, including several elaborately reimagined takes on classic fairy tales. 

Enjoy a buffet dinner, dancing and delightful distractions, as well as silent and (always exciting) live auctions. You could win a tour of the White House with Congressman Stephen Lynch, sports tickets and other intriguing items and experiences.

The Library Foundation of Needham provides funding for Needham Free Public Library programs and services that are not covered by the town budget. Proceeds from the gala will help build an endowment to benefit the library.
