Needham Fastpitch will be conducting its third annual softball skills development clinic on Aug. 27-30 at Needham's Claxton Field softball complex.

For four half-days (9 a.m. to 12:30 pm.), Needham Fastpitch will have professional instructors to help the girls with all aspects of the game. Skill development will include hitting (the pitching machine will be set up in the batting cage), fielding, throwing, running and the fundamentals of windmill pitching for the younger girls. 

Instructors will use both diamonds to give the girls as much instruction as possible.

The plan is to tailor the drills to the makeup of the girls that register. There will be both begnner and advanced groups working on level appropriate skills. 

The Needham Fastpitch fall season in the Charles River Softball League will begin shortly after the clinic. This is a great way to shake off the cobwebs from the summer and get ready for the fall games.
