Bike to the Needham Farmers Market Bike on Oct. 7

Come to the Needham Farmers Market on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Back by popular demand: Sunday will be this season’s second Needham Farmers Market Bike to the Market Day. The first 25 people to bicycle to the market will receive a $2 coupon to use at the Needham Farmers Market on Sunday, Oct. 7. This offer is limited to the first 25 people who bicycle to the market. Limit one coupon per family please. Make sure to come to the market manager’s tent to get your coupon.

Speaking of healthy transportation: please stop by the Rail Trail table at the Oct. 7 market. The Needham Rail Trail is working with the Bay Colony Rail Trail (www.baycolonyrailtrail.org) to convert miles of unused rail corridor into a shared use path. The planned shared use includes bicycling, jogging, strolling and more. The 2-mile Needham Rail Trail portion would run through the Needham Town Forest, past Red Wing Bay, to the Charles River Peninsula at the Dover line. Come and learn more!

The Needham Farmers Market is a great way to shop locally—meet the growers, support your local businesses, catch up with neighbors and friends. On Sunday, Oct. 7 the Farmers Market will present two local artisans, Sheryl Scipione and Mary Hensley, as well as music by Beantown Brass Quintet.

Opening bell is at 1 p.m. The Farmers Market will be open until 5 p.m. Location is the front lawn of First Parish in Needham, 23 Dedham Ave., Needham Center. Plenty of free on-street parking is available. See you at the Market! www.needhamfarmersmarket.org

Please also visit our booth Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Harvest Fair & Souper Bowl, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Needham Town Common. Our booth is right near the corner of Great Plain Ave and Highland Ave. We'll be one booth in from the Needham Rotary Club. Come to the fantastic soup tent, a wonderful Needham tradition—taste delicious soups from local restaurants—then come say hi & learn more about the Farmers Market! See you at the Harvest Fair!
