Needham Cub Scouts Pack 4 To Hold Open House
Needham Cub Scouts Pack 4 will hold an open house on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 3-4 p.m. at the Needham Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Great Plain and Central avenues.
Com meet new friends and learn about the adventures that are available to boys in Needham. Cub Scouts provides fun, educational and character-developing activities for boys in grades 1-5.
Pack 4 believes the opportunities offered by Scouting should be open to all, and they do not discriminate on the basis of color, race, religion, ethnic background, sexual orientation or economic status. This has been the policy of the Pack, and of the Boston Minuteman Council, their regional Scouting organization, for more than 10 years.
Fees for the year are $55. Financial assistance is available.
Some of the fun activities planned for the year include campouts, the Pinewood Derby, community service projects, ropes/obstacle courses, skating, Rocket Day and overnights aboard the USS Salem and at the Roger Williams Zoo.
Scouting aims to teach boys good values, tolerance and respect for others.
