Needham residents can dispose of their unused and expired medications on Saturday, April 28 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the driveway of the Needham Police Department, 99 School St.
In preparation for this event, residents should check the expiration dates on all medications in the home, including over the counter items such as cough, cold and allergy medicines as well as prescription items.
Can’t make the disposal event? Safe medication disposal is available 24 hours a day about seven days a week in the Needham Police Department lobby. A secure disposal unit is on-site.
The Medication Take-Back Day is a joint partnership of the Needham Public Health Department, the Needham Police Department and the Needham Coalition for Youth Substance Abuse Prevention (NCYSAP).
Please note: Needles, thermometers, medical waste or illicit drugs such as cocaine or marijuana will not be accepted.
