Get Ready for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Get rid of your unused prescription drugs safely on National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the driveway of the Needham Police Department, 99 School St. Bring all expired, unused and unwanted medications for proper disposal.

How to prepare:

  • Check the expiration date on all medications in your home including: cough, cold and allergy and prescription medications. (Note: Needles, thermometers, medical waste or illicit drugs such as cocaine or marijuana will not be accepted.)
  • Check your home for unused over the counter and prescription medications from a previous illness or condition
  • Bring your medications to the Police Department driveway on Oct. 29.

 

If you cannot make the take-back event: A medication disposal safe is located in the Needham Police Department lobby, accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week for your convenient medication disposal.
