'Extreme Looks' Seminar Focuses on Body Image for Girls in Grades 6-8

“Extreme Looks” is a free, four-day intensive seminar that examines how the media goes to extremes that distort girls’ self-esteem, body-image, and perceptions about relationships.
Based on a model of wellness, the group will incorporate activities and discussions and teach participants safe ways to exercise and stay healthy, thus addressing the needs of the mind, body and spirit.
In addition to the seminar, participants will be eligible for summer memberships to the Needham YMCA. The program is open to girls currently in grades 6-8 and is scheduled for Monday, June 25through Thursday, June 28.
