Each year, the Needham Exchange Club gives the A.C.E., or Accepting the Challenge of Excellence, Award to a student who perseveres under difficult circumstances and continues to strive for doing the best he or she can. 

This year’s recipient is Kali Ann Moore. Life is a struggle with hardships, good and bad times, and challenges. Moore has had family issues and obstacles to deal with but through it all remains true to her goal of succeeding in high school, college and beyond.

Moore wants to use her life experience in a positive way with those who are depressed or having difficulties staying happy. She’s already passed the hard part of her curriculum and will surely succeed with her positive attitude and additional training.

Moore’s commitment to excel is further demonstrated by an event that made her proud. Her involvement in a high school dance group called the “Bombsquad." The group is like a precision step dance group, with a lot of spirit.
