The Needham Exchange Club has had a long and supporting relationship with the Charles River Center.

At a recent meeting of the Needham Exchange Club, the club’s golf tournament chairman, Gerry McTernan, presented the proceeds from the 2011 Charity Golf Tournament to a representative from the Charles River Center. McTernan noted that the tournament had more than 100 participants and many generous sponsors. A live auction and dinner followed the golf tournament. A check for $20,500 for an accessible van was presented to Maria McTernan and Charles River Chief Operating Officer Anne-Marie Bajwa. 

This year’s Charity Golf Tournament will be held on June 25 at the Oakley Country Club. McTernan noted that there are many volunteer opportunities associated with the golf tournament. 

Bajwa thanked the Exchange Club both for this donation, which will allow the Charles River Center to further its mission, and for the club’s 55-year involvement with the Center.
